I fear my motherboard is starting to give up the ghost so before it goes pop for good I'm about to replace it. Tonight...
Back with the stats later.

yeah, it runs 'very high' level in Crysis now, but that is just too much going on so I wound it back to high.

Yeah, I built a PC for CAD work, and ended up selling it to someone who wanted to use it for CAD/BIM. Anyhow, turned out it was stellar for playing Crysis on very high too.

Currently got a Dell Optiplex GX280 small form factor PC with:
- P4 3.2GHz CPU - 2x1GB DDR2 800MHz RAM - Radeon X1300 Pro 128MB half-height GPU - 160GB SATA + 500GB SATA external HDDs (nearly full ) - slimline DVDRW+/- - Benq E2200HD 22" widescreen 16x9 LCD It's fine for what I do, playing Urban Terror (a free game based on the Quake3 engine), CAD/CAM and it still has serial and printer ports for programming microcontrollers. My next box wishlist (from MSY): - C2D E6300 CPU $99 - GB G41M-ES2L Motherboard $71 - 2x2GB GSkill-NT DDR2 800MHz RAM $73 - GB Radeon HD4670 512MB GPU $88 - Pioneer DVR-218 SATA DVDRW+/- $65 - WD SATA 808GB HDD $88 - CoolerMaster Elite RC330 Case w/PSU $75 Maybe I'll treat myself around chrissy. |
