ok so to replace trhe fluid i
a) place a tray under the tran drain hole b) unscrew Speedo cable bolt c) unscrew drain hole d) wait till it's done emptying e) screw back drain bolt f) fill with new stuff g) chuck speedo cable/nut back on that it? Don't need to flush it with any chemicals?

yep, that's all
if you really wanted, you could put some cheap rubbish in for a few days to clean the old stuff off, and thene replace it with a quality oil, but it'd make a negligible difference if you're REALLY REALLY adventurous, you could take your gearbox out and clean the magnet that catches all the metallic fragments that float around after you break/chip stuff (and from daily wear and tear mind you)

remember to warm the gearbox up first.
makes the oil a bit thinner and therefore flows out easier and brings more crap out with it. :wink: |
