We are still maybe's, but we have a truck load of friends we can stay with in QLD, and potentially a road trip up to Cairns too.
Could be fun |

it would have to be very late saturday night nate. friday night will be the better bbq night
i dont know the schedule yet for the weekend, but i assume there will be racing or atleast qualifying saturday night for the drag racing i guess the sydney guys could leave jambo mid afternoon sunday, drive to say tamworth etc, have a snooze for a few hours then continue on home. you'd be home by 8am and would have had 5 hours sleep (i guess) |

By any chance would any of you have the times of the show, entry and competing times and fee's.
Once we have numbers we need to get prices for accomidation, at this stage it looks like its me, james and brad, but i know rob-80e is making the trip up and posibly some more NSW members as well. Also when we get there would it be posible for one of you guys to show us the way to our accomodation because i cant speak for the other 2 but i have never been actually into brisbane just past it on the way up to the sunshine coast. With the roadtrip, i know you Queensland guys travel the inland route, but i have found that the coastal route is just as quick and there is less chance of stone chips and the trip isnt quiet as dusty.Thats something me and the fellow Nsw guys will have to discuss as well as i live right near the fork where the inland and coatal routes to qld start.

i like the inland route because there are far far far less police and the road is more interesting. i dont think the stone chips would be any different either way, but the coastal has the advantage of split roads.
times etc, nope. the www.jamboree.com.au site hasnt been updated for ages |

well we just had our online meeting about it and the plan at this stage is to travel up the coast to brisbane, and we will meet one of you probably nate (as he has said in the thread he could meet us near the gold coast)on friday not sure what time as we have to plan what time we need to leave here.
It looks like we will be staying at a trusty formula 1 hotel, probably the one andrew mention earlier on in the thread. We will drop our bags of there and then after that probably go to nates bbq (if that is still happening). On the saturday we will go to the show, at this stage Q2CDIS is entering and posibly me, brad is undecided about that. After the show we could have dinner and cruise to the BWCP as i have heard its the crusing place to be on a saturday night. On Sunday we arnt really sure what time we are leaving but it will need to be at a time where the sydney boys can get back at a reasonable hour as brad is back at work on Monday. Im extremely excited about this trip and am hoping that i can catch up and meet a few AstinaGT people, i am particulary keen to see antons turboed beast.

Anton hasn't really shown much interest in the Jamboree, but closer to the weekend I'll SMS him and see if he's able to join us. If not, he's usually on th esplanade on a Saturday night anyway, I see him there quite often...
