What's happened till now:
Acquired this: Put it into a mates garage: Changed the oil and water, test drove it about 200km flat out, almost broke down, car wouldnt rev up properly and hardly pick up, water pissing out of the water tank. Spent half a day troubleshooting: Turns out, a new radiator cap and distributor were needed. Car running well now Since my car doesnt have an immobilizer but the donor car has, i swapped the ECU for a non immibilzier BPM8 one that i luckily still had laying around - wouldnt work. Had to modify the wiring harness and now all is well. Bye bye immobilizer We then exchanged a few parts with my mates car... ...and i did some internet shopping The plan now is to receive more shopping goods, go for a one week vacation, come home and pack, drive about 300km to another mates workshop, swap the drive train and strip the red car, do all the necessary services while we're at it (clutch, flywheel, timing belt, seals etc) and just hope the wiring harness will work in my car...

Ok guys, i did a full write up in geman but i really cant bring myself to translate all of it - so the short version: Me and my mate went to a city 300kms away, swapped and serviced the engine with a few more mates, had fun, drank beer, i hit myself with a wrench, drank more beer, cleaned up and went back home with a 350km detour
Here's some pictures:

Updated the center console a bit - as i'm getting older, it's all becoming more oem+ ^^

Haha! A new hybrid model perhaps?
...Someone said "dude you should get into that engine bay" but he took it too literally and this happened! |

That was with the Vogtland, later ones are KAW (and all with the Ronal and MOMO wheels).

The interior looks fantastic!
What steering wheel did you source? And also where did the seats come from, Mazda? |

Thanks! Not too sure what you're talking about though...
Which seats? Leather seats were off a german special edition Astina 323F, steering wheel is MX-5 NB.

Guess I should have been clearer about which stage of the car I was referring to. But that is what I needed to know.

It looks really good. What gap do you have between wheel and arch? The stock ride height is really high, and some take it down too low, but that is a really nice balance you have.
I could maybe go up a little bit... or not but definitely can't go lower. |

It's about a finger at the rear and 1,5 fingers at the front (depending on your fingers, i'm thin ^^) - definitely higher than yours.
Had it lower at the fron last year but i was scraping every second day so that had to be changed - after all, it's still my most practical car
