I decided on buying the stock front bar for the Astina.
I bought a brand new one this afternoon, and just sprayed it in primer. Here's a picture, Not bad for a first attempt at doing anything of this kind before:

Haven't done anything about it yet, but I realised that my brake light was coming on sometimes without the handbrake being on. Searched the forums and found out I probably need to top up the brake fluid. I'll grab some from Supercheap sometime soon. Thanks once more for having the info

Update:
After some grinding here and there, Jonno managed to attach the intercooler: Only a small amount of hackage to the front bar: The intercooler sits a little lower than the stock front bar, but that's ok as I'm going to get a lip for the bottom of the bar.

Adjusted the idle and the BOV, took out the black MS seat and put the white one back in (as i've decided to keep the white ones), and anchored my sub box a little better.
