Its been a really slow week of progress, lots of hiccups but she runs, she's blended, and the last thing to do before wheel alignment is to change the drive shaft seal passenger side, as it was damaged in the process of removing the cv's from the hardtop.

Had a wheel alignment done.
Polishing her up to come out nice again. Had a regas, icy cold and pleasantly warm, and most important of all, possible to drive during muggy weather. Missed my parcel last week will have to pick up this friday, then its time for guards to be rolled and tyres to get swapped. Need to sell my celica. Once thats done ill be going to source the coil overs. |

Tips... Prepare to **** around with Rear engine mount if it needs to be changed or touched. Otherwise pretty straight forward, pretty tight but easy to get in and out with another set of hands!

easy! jeez, its a mission without proper tools hey guys. I have to remove all the mounts, they are all rooted and will be changed to the v6 varients. so far ive removed all suspension, arms, gearbox, engine, etc. only the swaybar remains. cant imagine it will be that hard to drop the steering rack and the k-frame with clear access...or am I dreaming!

You don't have to drop the sway bar if the bushes are all good, but yes everything else for ease has gotta come out... Ironically. Lol

Removed. like everything else! Discovered i have to remove the column too because the gay auto brake pedal is attached to it...sigh. at least all the auto stuff (except the brake pedal and wiring which I have to get my head around) is gone. The rack needs attention, its worse than a sieve currently!

7 in wide rims and 35 offset is about the max the rears will handle without some serious camber adjustments. i found my rears only touching slightly with that wheel spec, but have alot less body/suspension roll compared to your car. get the rears rolled, and you be happy.

cheers mate, yeah she's moving along alright. Don't really know what the power is like at this stage, and i think I'm due for a new clutch before i get stuck into any dyne or time sheets.
