Pipe is too short, V6 bracket off the radiator support, the rusty bracket under the Cusco can, the battery tray and (if you want to be picky) the air tube that cools the battery.
The +ve lead to the battery needs some of the plastic guide removed and the radiator expansion tank tube needs to be a little longer. Oh and the wiring to the air sensor need to be uncliped. You could always make brackets but if you bolt directly to the I4 battery tray you end up very close to the trans.

Neither did I but considering when I left your place, drove home and had lunch and when I posted the pic it didn't take long to make the changes using spare parts.

could the welds just be cracked, the pipe be rotated and extended, then all re welded? might be easier than messing with multiple thins in the engine bay.

Put a joiner between the AFM and intake pipe, put a longer hose on expansion tank and re-routed the catch can pipes.

Crack in the head.
Easier to put in a used jap motor with higher compression than rebuild what I have. B-Spec cams will return when the engine warranty ends. My current problem is that the diesal redlines at 4,500rpm while the 'stina will redline around 8,000rpm and I'm already short shifting a standard engine.

Been on a bit of a buying spree recently...
New filter for ARC airbox, same as original foam filter without the ARC logo $160 from Hong Kong Factory drivers door strike with electric lock mech $62 from Dresden, Germany Room lamp with factory remote central locking receiver $28 from Wallenhorst, Germany Yeah I could have spent ten bucks at Jaycar for a lock solenoid that goes CLUNK CLUNK when it operates but the mazda ones a) fit better, b) plug straight in and c) are much quieter. Oh and in reply to Duke... Sounds awsome with the cams in but still nice in stock trim (currently running the stock cams )

The air filter is for an air box made by a company who, currently, no longer exists and Hong Kong charge like poison for postage. I did a lot of research to find a filter that fits just to find that no one knows **** about the ARC 'A' filter.
The black box in the room lamp is the antenna for the central locking.

there is the non-cat BP that was sold in the early BGs in Europe, NZ, and other countries which had 9.8:1 compression put in a compression tester and you'll see... numbers don't lie

if you want a stronger gearbox, you can either use the 626 turbo H series gearbox, or the Mazda3/Mazda6 diesel A series 6 speed gearbox, swapping gears with ones off of the MPS... it all fits except for the shifter as the A series box uses a cable shifter It's a much stronger gearbox than the old H series too!
