UPDATE
So after driving the car around for a few weeks i have decided it needed more hmmmmmm stuff so i ended up finding a set of intermitant wiper stalks off a BF sedan at the wreckers i installed a new speedo cluster to replace the Poo standard one which didnt have a tacho new parkers touched up wiper arms as they where rusty and didnt look the part also fixed my drivers seat as it had some movement in the front right of the brackets.. sooo a little work got it all sorted next on the list of things to do is the rear seats, window tinting, boot floor and carpet.

UPDATE,
so over the past few months i have been collecting parts for this car and slowly building it up and up.. so a few months ago I got a chance to buy a f2t engine package from a friend. So after a long and hard think about it (literally lasted 3sec’s) I said yer sure why not, how hard could it be to install.. have had the motor in my garage now for a good 2-3 months and I have been thinking about how I was going to get it to fit.. long story short with out making custom driveshafts to convert the 28spline outer cv’s to 26 spline to fit mazda 323 hubs (v6 or I4) it wasn’t going to happen.. so I have decided to go a different route. Engine build 2.0: - Mazda BA BP 1.8 engine - Mx5 10.5:1 cp pistons from a 2001-2005 BP - Mild cams - Cam gears - BA intake manifold - BA series 3 ECU, Loom, dizzy, injectors - FPR (to help with the Higher comp) - Extractors - Mazda BG g series box with B6T final drive - Mazda BG g series driveshafts - Civic Rad - Ported and polished head - Mx5 1.6 flywheel kit I will be making a patch loom for my 420E ECU so i can run that later on down the tract and run some Toyota COPS too but will still keep the standard BA S3 engine loom so it looks factory-ish

SO on the weekend i got the ****s with the car leaking oil like no tomorrow.. i new it was com ing from behing the timing cover so i removed the timing belt, installed a new oil pump seal and cam seal and re did the timing belt. the nelt was in good nick and look like it had been done recently..
I also had the opportunity to go to lake side for some happy laps on sunday morning with kris (ice88) and a mate with his turbo BG Sadly tho the event was cut short due to P plater driving just to hard and hit the wall. he is ok tho

Was that the final turn, or the kink? It's pretty easy to get scared of the camber on the final turn, jump off the throttle because you panic and the car just understeers even more.

How worthy are these chassis' as a track car? I keep looking at it thinking 'stitch welds, cage, semislicks, 900kgs or so...

so i was in Sydney recently and was able to get my hands on a BG BP DOHC motor off a fellow member.. picked it up with the little car from Newcastle and drove back to Brisbane with it in the boot
last night i finally got around to dummying up my spare gearbox and starter and testing the comp. It wasn’t to bad. I have two thoughts about it.. Ether rebuild it with mx5 pistons or throw it in and hope for the best... might just throw it in and see how she goes hey
