Today I received two parcels in the mail, a dent puller kit and a set of clear tail lights from mike. It was only when I started to pull one of the dents out that I realised how long its gonna take... I spent 10 minutes getting the glue hot only to break the plastic tabs off. Got a few dents out before it broke and its pretty cool, it will be easy to get large dents way smaller, but getting the last little bit looks hard/will need more tools/patience/experience... Seller is being helpful, hoping I get a partial refund to buy another sort of tab to try out. Looks like a decent quality kit overall. Even with German instructions...

I'm chilling on the beach up at coolum all day today and tomorrow.. It's a well deserved weekend away.

Also picked up/ got delivered these parts over the past week or so:
- BPT heat shield,
- second set of jic coil overs with cusco tops
- a pair of Sickspeed horns
- a pair of 100db horns (yes that's four horns)
- a pair of Ba hardtop tail lights
- a Ba hardtop rear bar
- a Ba hardtop rear boot garnish
- a Ba dash surround
- a varex adjustable rear muffler (3inch in, 4inch out)

I need to start putting these parts on the car soon as I'm running out of space :s

It's going in the hatch. I may play around later and swap the BP with the FE just for the extra cubes. Yes it's the one from Qld ebay.

I've heard these aren't great on turbo cars as the back pressure obviously changes between open and muffled and can give you different power outputs or mess with ECUs. Any truth to that, because I'd love one?

well its not going on the car right now but for $80 i could really pass it up still works perfectly. but it will be installed with the aftermarket link/halteck ecu anyway. and that will be tuned with two maps, street and race, and i can toggle an out put on the Race map to open the muffler hee hee i love being a Automation technician makes things alittle easier

If you are running your boost control from the ecu... (Such as an Evo) then you will have issues!
With a manual boost T you will over boost still.

But with an electronic boost controller, you will have no issues.
Depending on how much gain you are running, you may spike 1-1.5psi on spool up, then will very quickly sort it's self out.

I do run a t-type, but its an excellent one that never creeps or spikes at all. I'd still have issues though you reckon?

Is this something you have found out with UR bros 180??? I also though this might be the case tho.. I'm looking at a GENUINE GREDDY PROFEC B BOOST CONTROLLER (insert Echo)

Yay for profec!! (Spec II)
Oh... And I found one here at my place!
Seems to be in the dash of the 300 where the clock use to be tho
Rekon dad will notice *sneaks out to car* lol

But yes, any exhaust mod to a turbo ups the boost a lil bit. On te 300 when we first got it, just from going 2.25" standard to a 2.5" FGK diff back (just basically rear mufflers) gave a 1psi greater spike and a 0.5psi constant boost increase, full exhaust system with high flow cats resulted in a constant 11psi and a 12.5psi spike.
(Also has apexi intake)

We have the profec in there now, we set it to a 13psi spike (almost 14psi spike in the cold winter air), and a 12psi constant boost.
It's good to have a little bit of spike with an electronic BC as it increases turbo response and spool times.

Derb, yeas you would still get a greater spike, we are probably talking very minimal.

How come you are running the manual Tee?? Legalities?
The EBC's are way more convenient and can reduce lag and increase turbo response. And it's definitely a noticeable difference going from a manual T to the EBC.
Went from turbo smart T to the profec in the 180.

Because it works beautifully. Less than 1psi bleed off up to and straight to 13psi at 3000~rpm.

Morso this year, I've had a serious change of heart, of where I want to be in 12mths time. How I spend my life and money. So with some regret my project will never be finished how I wished I would. No more respray, just colour coding bodykit, New paint on the bumpers. Probably a grand.Motor, get it pulled down asap, sent away for inspection/honing/cleanin, crack testing. Send away rods for inspection. Hopefully everything's ok. Buy a set of 9.5 pistons and thow them in. Bolt on turbo as is. Vj20. Stock injectors and ecu. Throw the car bk together asap and get out of the shed. Moving out in 2 months with my mates hopefully.

Sorry. It's just too hard to get it moved to the paint shop, too much money and too hard basket. It'll still be quick, and can always upgrade to vf10. That's all folks. I just need to move on.
