dosent look like it would.
Pipe isnt bent right.
for ours it come straigh off the throttle body into a 90 degree bend and then 2 x 30 degree bends its all so alot longer then that.

No, it's more like when you and another person land at the same time on the trampoline, and the force of the bounce is squared.
Kind of like a fist of air punching it's way out of you. Not enough to kill you, but certainly makes you more cautious in the future.

Hello!!!

My car is having a bad fuel economy.
Full tank = 280KM
I need to know a few thing that can cause a bad fuel consumption before handing it to the mechanic... Any idea guys?
And what is the exact KM for a full tank in a BA astina auto?

A heavy right foot is fastest way to empty a tank.
I would check your plugs, leads and air filter.
If they are all ok do you spend a lot of time in traffic.
Do you race away from the lights?
If so it might be the way you drive.
But I would expect about 400-500 km off a full tank in your car.

EGO [Oxygen/Fuel] sensors are often overlooked, and cause very poor fuel economy when dead/dying.
Bosch suggest to replace them every couple of years! But of course they would...

When I just bought a car I find that the fuel consumption is bad so I try driving the car slowly by not pressing the pedal too hard. Tried max 3500 RPM from full to empty and at 280km the tank is empty.

Plugs and leads changed. Nothing wrong with air filter. I usually do highway. I don't race away from the lights. Will the exhaust be a problem? Cause my car do have some smells. Smells like smoke...

other things to check
O2 sensor
Fuel Filter
AFM isn't dirty
Throttle body may need a clean
Make sure the timing is set correctly

And phil is on the money 4-500km around town should be the norm

Best i've ever done on a tank on long haul is 660km

thats law for anywhere in aus as far as i know...you need the filter to be seperated from the engine bay...you are also benifited from having a cover/sheild there as it means you are not getting any hot air from the engine...well less hot air...
