Because a hone wont take that scratch out. Its deap, real deap. It will take a bore to get it out

exactly
and if you want to just build the motor now and be done with it, go look for a BG BP block, why go through the stupid trouble of looking specifically for a BPT block? Almost all the BG BP blocks are the exact same as the BPT... they all have the feed holes, they're just capped off! much easier to look for a BG block from an Astina/323 than bothering with an imported motor

Ok so here is the update guys.. below is some pistures from when Myself and ICE88 disassembled the BPT motor i had. I was very happy to find that there was some B6t rods inside but also unhappy that there was a nice scratch on the bore too
as u can see, on the right is a standard NA piston and Rod. these are the same rod used on the BPT but the BPT uses a different CR piston. and on the left is the B6T rod on a BPT (8.2:1 CR) piston. this is that scratch in the bore.. and this is after a good hone too..

ok so last sunday ICE88 and myself when and pulled out my old motor..
its not going to look like this ever again After removing the hole under body of the engine, i test fitted my new/different cross member and it fits quict well some more photos of me removing stuff. Kris looking lost whise looking for the right rachet spanner OW NO WHERE DID THE MOTOR GO :O this is why im getting my engine bay repainted.. at one stage in the cars life the battery must have leaked or exploded and.... yer u can see what its done. so thats as far as we got. the gearbox is detached from the motor and the adaptor plate is ready to go on.. just wating on my new gearbox and then its time to start bolting on the turbo goodies to the na block.

once that gearbox is in, you should figure out a way to reinforce that crossmember.... it looks weak!
