I read over the part where its getting crated, sucks to hear Kris
Filled up the car this morning, managed to get 590kms out of the tank, and most of that was with the dud cat, so im overly happy with that im sure that number will decrease seeing its starting to get a little colder in the mornings, but oh well, thats cars for ya

CHALANGE ACCEPTED hahahahaha
well kirs what do u think?? ur both got similar setups but u will have a better piston:rod ratio so it should rev better yer??

Not sure id eclipse Darryl tbh mate. Hes doing a few things more then me He also hasn't to my knowledge had any head work done yet, so it maybe that his head will flow reallly well and out flow me at high rpms.
He's also replacing the water pump with an external unit means less parasitic drag on the engine. Im gonna try a few things to reduce my pumping losses, which given the crappy rod angle (even with longer rods) on an FS reducing side wall friction should yield impressive gains. Have a few other ideas but there a bit radical for street (you can probably thank grant for these ) But again nothing I do will be something Darryl won't be doing or won't have thought of I'd suggest. The only things I have on Darryl is a slightly longer rod (1mm or so if that) and a bigger wrist pin which should providing the thickness hasn't been reduced as a result mean that I can achieve higher piston speeds providing everything else holds up Not looking to push it that hard though man, at 7.5k rpm my piston speeds will be in the 23m/s which is high enough as it is. I will start running into head limitations about then anyways Should add that I'll prolly end up in the ball park of Darryl given how similar our builds are (:S)(swear im not trying to copy the guy, but its hard not be perceiving to copy him when there's such limited parts of the FS that are decent (we are at least different with out external modifications)).

Started with a new company this week doing David Jones at indooroopilly shopping center. Received my electrical fitter/mechanic license in the mail today too as well as a new eba with a $37 base rate! (site is over $5/hr additionally.) No complaints here!

Just spent $950 on replacement car parts delivered from the UK. I did shop around and it was cheaper for me to just buy from them rather than from Flyin Miata as parts were already cheaper. which means within about a month or two. this is what will actually be accomplished.
- powder coated under body components - all under body bushes - wheels and tyres - hopefully half of the wiring (i really hate wiring... its my weakness) - other secret stuff i cannot say without showing . until then keep your eyes peeled for my build thread

Well yesterday actually. I borrowed a new cooper s mini and took Ellen for a drive up to the caloundra airport. Went on a bi-plane up and around mooloolaba and glass house mtns. Did a few acrobatics which was a little scary and heaps of fun (pulled 3gs in a 1930's style plane!) Then landed off the runway which was scary heading for an embankment but he recovered it and landed safely. (was very windy!) He took off our helmets and disappeared and I proposed to Elly :-D then we had some photos taken by Ben and his mate at kings beach. Lovely day :-)

We Just picked up my brothers new ride, a 96 ba v6 hatch. 190 on the clock with almost overzealous servicing, plans are to keep it sweet and standardish, cam cover seals first and timing belt etc, learning curve starts with how to get my hands in the bl**dy engine bay!
