Lightbulb coilovers- BC's v yellowspeeds?

so looking at some stiffer coilovers... the autoexes are great for going low but arent stiff enough to run the wheels im running how low i want it.. and scrubing like a bitch... killing my tyres.

soo been looking at coilovers but dont really know what im doing ahah sooo.. like the title says..
whats better yellowspeeds or bcs

bc link - http://cr3motorsports.com/Protege/Pr...-Mazda-Protege
and the yellowspeeds ive been looking at are the ones from wholesale.

From purely a spectators view. Bcs are proven to work well, last a.reasonable amount of time, fit 100%.

Price wise they are close enough not to worry... Yellow speeds seem less refined in external construction, ugly yellow , but could be better in performance. I'd choose bcs personally.

I drove on my bcs for 500km. Wonderfully soft and comfortable. Didn't push it around corners. Goes stupid low. (i raised to stock height if you remember. That was two cars ago ) good build quality. Annodizing is very good, after I got them used covered in dirt and general filth they came up flawless. Ryan upgraded for higher spring rates.

Get Yellow speeds because theyre Yellow and would totally match your car

Mine are still going strong 25,000Ks, also if you do get yellow speeds and have any troubles you can always take it back to wholesale and sort it out,
they have a 1 year warranty on them which is good. Pete from wholesale is running BC's in his I think, he would probably be the best person to talk to.

Where are those BC's coming from in that link, US? you'l have to pay for shipping which could be couple hundred bucks, where as Yellowspeeds cost me $1100 all up.

Sometimes I wish there was a bit more room between the rear fender and the door so that it wouldn't look as awkward back there, haha.

They cost the same.
They both have Australian warrenties and suppliers.

If you do a search, you'll find my feedback about both on here. Commented a couple of times about both products.
I will be going to Bc's in April or so.
Ordering them with different spring rates at no extra cost... And for a small price also getting the Extended travel shocks.

BC's have been tried tested and proven on soooooooo many cars that I know. Performance is great, comfort is great, reliability is great, standard features are good and can have a gazillion options and custom rates like I will at no extra cost.

When u looking at ordering Jess?? If its march to April... Will be interested in doing a group order

Yeah I actually do want to raise it and have some nice dirt roads that I would love to drive again. Use to with the BG. And I miss it. So coilover with extended travel will give me the flexibility to sit30mm lower than stock on the road... Then raise her up for the offroad and also stiffen it right up for the occasional track/ moto.

Just gives me more options and a greater flexibility and decent performance all Round.

Was going to look at the final cost difference and make me assessment then.
But yeah I do know that.
I am more likely to use the extended height than slamming it.
So loss of lowering isn't that much if an issue.

What are the spring rates for the Yellowspeeds??

Confirmed... It's 7kg front and 4kg rear for the Yellowspeeds.

BC's are 6 front an 4 rear. They allow a 2kg increase or decrease without extra cost.

I will be going with 7kg fronts and 6kg rears when I order mine

Personally would go with BC's. plenty of places to get them rebuilt here... Product has been better tried and tested.

BC has different coils you can buy too. I think you can go all the way up to 16kg if you're nuts. I got a quote for upgrading mine to 7/5kg and it would have cost about $80 per spring with shipping which isn't that bad considering the coilovers cost around $1400. But I've put a swaybar in the front instead of trying to kill the lean with stiffer coils.

They recomend revalving for more than 2kg
So if you order with higher than 2kg more they will Revalve them.
I am going to get a front swaybar onto mine as well... Hence why I am getting such a high rear spring rate. I really do love my over steer lol.
I like fairly twitchy and responsive set ups with a nice weight to the steering. And also lean more towards the over steer side.
I think with those spring rate I should achieve that... But at the same time also keep some comfort lol.

(I need an LSD too )

mFactory LSD no question about it. Fully mechanical, fits both types of G-series gearbox, and should be about $700. I swear my car goes faster around corners than the straights.

Yep don't like the Quaife LSD (torque multiplier) Loveeeee the waves (clutch packs)
And the mfactory is also clutch design and like $400 cheaper

I know what my decision is. Lol
