GB: LUCAS and Protex Brake Pad Group Buy!!!

Ok if anyone needs brake pads AT ALL let me know, I'm putting in a fairly huge order and the prices are down...

Lucas, best performing pad unless you're willing to spend over $300 a pair, generally around the $55-$65 mark for fronts, and little bit less for rears...

Protex, for those of you with big shinny rims Protex, although not as good as the Lucas, are still an excellent pad, and driven normally you won't notice the difference... The big bonus, they don't dust up nearly anywhere near as much as the Lucas.. Around $35-45 for fronts, and possibly less for the rears...

Anyone interested, let me know, i'm happy to post stuff out Aust. wide via 3kg Express sachels, which are roughly $8.. PM or reply here, or even better SMS me 0439 774 126 with either your EXACT car details (inc. engine), or even better, a brake pad reference number... If you wanna look this up checkout the online bendix catalouge at www.bendix.com.au

May also be able to do rotors, but no promises, i haven't looked into that... For those who replied to my sms's today, i'll have prices and avaliabilities hopefully tomorrow...

Cheers,
Astro Boy

As I've seen the error of my ways in mixing front and rear combos can you get rear shoes for the '06 2?

2006 Mazda 2?

Should be able to... NO idea on prices, never had to do shoes, even on the rally car(s)!

Mixing combos? You mean brands?

In this case it was brands although compounds would be a more accurate description.
1st call was a warning, second call was a collision Same make, same model, same colour, different vehicle/driver.

I'm gonna have a guess and say DB1177, they all have been so far, and although the bendix catalouge lists two different ones, the lucas catalouge only lists one, so i'm gonna go with that...

It will DEFINATELY be cheaper than $65, even with shipping! Plus you won't have to put up with bendix!

The only Lucas pad that comes close to being $65 that i've delt with so far is the VT-VZ Commodore...

Front and rears, just no point if it's front alone.

DB1362 is the front!

Rear should be DB1359!

Only the rear you were after? Should be somewhere around the $45-50 mark!

How do protex compare to normal OEM pads?
For a fairly sedate driver worth the change? and what is the price difference roughly?

Cause while mine are fine at the moment they have got to be heading towards the end.
FYI, 96 V6 HT.
