Lying in bed, suffering from an infection where i had a wisdom tooth removed last week, 3 different antibiotics (at once!) and susperstrong painkillers that really aren't doing a lot. Gah.

Hospital? I thought you said he wasn't hurt that bad?

He must have a Holden badge imprinted on him now.

He is fine, cuts & bruises all over, and swollen ankles, VERY LUCKY considering he was flung from the Ute via the rear window

So the story goes:
B-double was tailgating, and dan was slowing to do a Uturn at an intersection, the Semi only saw this at the last second, which shunted him through the intersection and onto the Brisbane bound Lanes of the Warrego, where the car shut down...

The semi going brisbane bound saw dan at the last moment, and had a choice of t-boning him or trying to swerve, in which he swerved, hit dan on the A pillar, making him spin, hit the rear of the ute, and then speared dan out the back window... the truck full of meat from Toowoomba ended up rolling over 40m down the road.

This is basically what it looked like at 10am this morning:

That orange thing is the 2nd trucks indicator

Total amount of damage, incl cost of removing the trucks load - $2.3mil

So yeah, he is very lucky to be alive - I think the whole family only got a couple hours of sleep...

And yes the Ute was Insured, my brother is now on the hunt for a Monaro

Farken! Your bro must have more than a Holden badge imprint. I wouldn't be surprised if the truck driver that started it has a few knuckle imprints on him too...

I personally hate trucks myself, and will always cringe when I drive past this now...

We ended up going back to the crash site this morning, found his wallet, and various car parts...

You're telling me! I was first to see him at the hospital (as the oldies were down the coast on holidays), and honestly didnt know what to expect... He does however what will be 2 black eyes, swollen nose & ankles, and just cuts from the tarmac & grass from the side of the highway...

He's doing ok, now relaxing at the coast with the oldies, would you believe that the hospital only gave him 2 days off!!! Anyways he went to his GP and he gave them the whole week off
