Steering wheel fix DIY?
I have a loose steering wheel, the rubber/foam has come away from the internal core, a mechanic suggested finding that glue that can be injected into it yourself to fix it to save money
anyone done this and is it a good idea? or is it best to just get a whole steering wheel from a wreckers? Cheers |

Worst thing that will happen is you stuff it up and have to buy a new wheel so you may as well give it a go. Try some medium or thick CA from a model airplane shop.

I found several online sources that sell glue for this specific thing, but not always the cheapest, would a metal/rubber bonding glue from bunnings/big w etc do the same thing? with a syringe to apply it

If it has come away. Then you will need a new wheel.
If all the outer is intact and you meant that the outer is no unglued and you can rotate it around the inner metal wheel? Then you get stikaflex or similar and a big neddle and glue it from the back ot the wheel outer to hide the puncture holes. |
