Removing BJ, 1.8 not SP, interior for new stereo.

Hey, I had a look around and found a tonne of info on removing SP gear and wasn't sure how different the 03 model interiors were.

I haven't tried yet, but.. The head unit sounds like it has those silly clips that require coat hanger, bent screw driver.. To remove. Is this correct? How much of the surround needs to be removed to remove and install headunit without breaking stuff?

Also, I had a go at removing the door trims but got stuck on the arm rests, front and back, do I just use a flat screwdriver and "pry" them off or do I have to push a clip off first??

Any help would be muchly appreciated..
Cheers.,.

Before you even get to the headunit issue, you need to remove the glovebox and plastic trim under the steering wheel to release the 3 HVAC cables before you can pull the centre fascia fully away from the headunit.

The armrests are screwed on, but you need to carefully slide/pry off the electric window gear at the front of the armrest to undo the electrics before you can take the door skin off. The skin sort of slides back and then rotates about 45 degrees to clear the door handle too.
