which is the cheapest "partslocator" place

hey guys, i need a thing for my car.. i tried partslocater.com.au and came up with a few places...

just wondering which places you recommend to be cheapest, and which ones to avoid as they r a major rip off?

i'm thinking abt going to J & Z Jap Auto Parts in SUNSHINE, or Allmaz in CLAYTON

thanx

Well it depends. If a part in Dandenong was $20 cheaper than a part in Sunshine would it be worth the drive?

The standard head unit uses a rubber knob to locate and stay the back. When I had the Alpine in their I just swapped the knob over and away I went. It fits a hole that is moulded as part of the dash.

Allmaz have most parts (I had Ken scratching his head last week) but they are aware of what Mazda would charge and price accordingly. But if you want cheap then you get cheap. (you won't find a Porsche dealer that is 50% cheaper than the rest and still sell genuine Porsche).

Hey,
I know most of the guys at Allmaz by name and have shared more than one or two beers. They realy know what they're talking about which is good for service but doesn't make them the cheapest all the time.
If you want cheap then be prepared to identify what you want and to spend a lot of time ringing 'round asking wreckers. Add that time and effort up and most times you're kidding your self spending more than you'll save.
