which turbo

looking to buy a turbo, found a 'generic' one (i guess) on ebay, aussie dealer, 1 year warranty, new and all that, for $300, and a garret equivalent is $1500. Has any one had any experience buyer a cheaper product like this? Is reliability gonna be an issue with the cheaper product?

I'd prefer to buy a second hand turbo over a new fake one.

Cheap turbos but are decent, and a lot of the drifters swear by them.

Agree with above ^^^

Ive heard alot of people who upgraded there turbo and didnt want to fork out the dollars for Garrett, HKS etc... Are buying Kinugawa, heard the name so many times and not much bad feed back.

They are not cheap and not expensive but you dont want to buy a very cheap turbo after spending $$$$ on your car and the turbo falls apart and stuff up the engine completely.

As for which model, that all depends on the build...
