Stereo questions BJII-J48

Hey guys, the head unit CD player is rooted in the old mans 2003 Mazda 323 Astina and so is the driver side speaker. It plays CDs but it jumps/skips and scratches CDs all the time.

I've got a spare single DIN stereo here lying about, how do I get the original head unit out and fit a single DIN one and a pocket underneath? Is there some sort of bracket I need? I've never done a head unit before.

Also is there a wiring adaptor so I don't have to butcher the factory wires?

Also how hard are the door trims to remove to replace the speakers and what size do I need?

Thanks much.

EDIT: Just saw there was an audio section, can you please move this thread there mods?

Speakers 5x7 in the front, 5.25" in the rear.

Head unit comes out with screwdriver

Mazda used to make single DIN pocket

I couldn't find a wiring diagram of the head unit wiring though? Any tips?

Thanks much.

Hmm appears the image is no longer hosted or moved so doesn't display.

Here is a guide that contains a wiring diagram:
