Ouch, depressing accident pics, amazing wreckage

http://forums.audiworld.com/s4/msgs/1584624.phtml

A bit strange that people trying to put their analytical accident skills to try to find flaws with the pictures which seem very real to me.

That's impressive. I was at a wreckers last year, they had a HD929 that had clipped a Saab then hit a tree with the passengers door at 180km/h. The tree hot so hard it bent the trans tunnel.
Once the SES cut the roof off the driver walked away

how rude.... the car probably left the ground and therefore no skids... some people are crazy

if this is an accident, then someone was probably trapped badly (speedo at 100km/h) or in fact killed... if its not real, then what was the point ?

You'd need a forklift or something to dump the pieces and they leave tracks, there is no reason to believe it isn't real. If it was a hoax what's the point?

Doing 2000 rpm in a 1.8 4 cycl @ 100kms is virtually unheard of.
Most sit around 3k & 2.6K if you are lucky.
Last model Corolla (auto) does 100K @ 2,400rpm.

yes ok lets look at this logically, engine was probably dead on impact.... or stalled by the impact, this would put an instant stop to the engine speed... goign sideways will loose you a lot of speed.....

having a look at the distance of the trees from the road, the car never really got a chance to slow before impact, but ahving a look at the distances of the fragments, the car would of richocheted around the patch of forest...

just remember than every action has an equal and oppostie reaction.... i would think that the driver of that car was driving FASTER than the indicated speed, which is a true indication that one shouldn't speed near trees.... note the fact that the car has split in several places, and torn down the side also...

crumple zones absorb impacts, instead of the force of inertia which is placed upon the seatbelts... by this car self destructing it has actually lessened the impact which its occupants would of seen.... one interesting thing was that the engine was thrown forward which would indicate a side impact, as most cars are designed to have the engine roll under the car, not forwards and out of it... very clean break away from the engine mounts, and the driveline... weird

well thats enough from me... i could go on forever... and i will later... unless a mod locks this (thats sensible)

btw if someone was hurt here, i think that people should have a bit of respect...

keep in mind if this is a setup, then its highly possible that they used a partially wrecked car

James, you should consider becoming an ATSB investigator.

I can't see what you're all talking about as I get a 404 error (page not there). Bummer...
