Where to run a new Acc wire from

Long story short, my Acc wire thats connected to my deck doesn't work so i can't turn any of my sound system on. mazda in there great wisdom joined the wire thru to the power side windows. I had a lil accident involving my door and a tree we had heaps of hale and the car kinda slid a loooong way
so i need to run a new Acc wire from where ever i can. Any suggestions?
Mechanic out here looked at the wirering and said don't bother. I know not to run it straight from the key plug cause that starts the car :P All the wirering i've seen in the car seems far more complecated then needs be, so far i've found 2 fuses on earth wires :S Why?

get to it from behind the steering column or from the CPU/fusebox . It should be to the right of the driver's footwell.

Sweet thanks guys. Amazingly with all the hail that fell here (1.2m in 30 mins, no joke even check the news) my astina only got a few dents from it .(and the big dent from me hittin a tree, good thing for back up doors :P ) Hoping i get the sound system fixed b4 i have to drive the car to perth, a 9 hour trip with no music would be hell.

I drove Melb to Sydney with no stereo. You're right - it sure does suck

The Bass Drive is back BABY!!!!!!
I got it up and running...i neva said the new wires were neat hahaha there and wires running everywhere so i can't actually drive, but hay it works, i'll finish it up tomorrow, then i got 1 spare day to kinda finish the boot build. My car will look like a bomb for a while but i don't care, it will blow those cheap sounds systems away, u guys know the ones, commondoors and fwords that turn it right p at the lights, and you know its just a kit that they think is good :P
Dogo how u make it from Mel to Syd with no sound??? i can't drive from my place to town (108km) without sound, i'd go bonkers...well more bonkers

Actually it was Melb -> Canberra. Dun know why I wrote Sydney.

I was driving to pick up a new ( my current ) car.
I think I ended up singing silly songs with the passenger.

I was there for only 3 hours then turned came back home and drove through the night to go to work at 8 the next day!
