Yeah we will need to pull our headlights apart and cut stuff up. Not a straight fit. Fun fun

Kind of, got everything marked out, taken apart, started polishing the lenses, borrowed some hole saw drill bits, just yet to do any actual cutting

Ended up getting another job for the holidays so 55 hour weeks doesn't make it easy to find time for it

You guys done much yet?

If you can find an old computer the power supply produces 12V just like your car, nice and easy. Can even be wired up to run when the computer's off (using a paperclip)
I've been looking into this for at least a year so bookmarked a lot of stuff in that time

any DECENT supply will work. 50w @ 12V = 4A. so any laptop supply will work with a correct connector. (JUST GET POLARITY RIGHT!) ive got lab supplies up to 2000W at my disposal, never really considered others dont have the same...guess im wrong! anyway BE CAREFUL with pc supplies. managed to get a 240v boot off one when i was younger and stupider.

I've started cutting the backs of mine out, should have one finished tomorrow, you've got to cut quite a bit out.... getting it straight then putting the bolts in is going to be the hardest bit for me I think.
I'll put up some pics tomorrow of how I cut mine
