BA Suspension into BG

As the title suggests, Does anyone know if the BA struts can go into the BG?
i know that the BA struts have an extra bracket for the sway bar to attach to, whereas the BG strut does not.
i know that the strut tops are different too.
they have the same bolt distance to connect to knuckles, and i dont see why they would be any different in height... The BA V6 and I4 both have same part numbers on struts, but of course springs are different.

Iwill be using the BG strut tops, so there is no problem there, and the bg sway bar connects to the control arm, so no problem there... in theory this is right.

has anyone any experience in putting the BA Struts into BG or know if this works?

Cheers.

Can I ask why you'd want to do this in the first place?

Using BA coilovers? Want BA shocks?

I'm under the impression that you can pick up Tokico Blues for your car which are the best street shock you can get. An example here. Unless you're looking for the adjustability?

Those ones in the example are still available actually, having read the whole thread now.

New cheap ciolovers are better than 15yo mazdaspeeds.

they'll fit... the yanks have done it before

why don't you find yourself a set of MX-3 mazdaspeed struts? They're better matched for the BG
mazdaspeed never sold the green adjustables for the BG, so the MX-3 ones will have to do

yup!... your on it.
put a bid on mx-3 mazdaspeed struts.
been looking at the numbers involved.
mx-3 front struts and springs are same as bg. just different tops
mx-3 rear struts and springs are the same as ba astina, but same tops as bg.

get some of those, and swap front has... boom installed.

no, the MX-3 mazdaspeed rear struts and springs are very different from the BA ones... the spring rates are different and so are the length of the strut bodies as well as damper rates

the BA mazdaspeed front struts have slightly stiffer dampening, while the MX-3 rears have slightly stiffer dampening... it's all to account for the weight distribution differences

just get both the MX-3 springs and struts from mazdaspeed, works perfect with the BG
