Angry KLze Driveshaft issues

Hi guys, this is a question to those who have done the klze conversion in2 the BA, what driveshaft combination did u use on the drivers side?? will one from the type R fit??

This is a bit of a long story, but here goes.

When I did my conversion midway thru last year, I swaped my kfze auto with a klze manual lsd. I had a breaker car which I was pretty certain was a type R lantis- sticker thing on the drivers door didn't say it was but this breaker had an lsd box and a mazdaspeed gear knob and rear strut brace- so I assume type R.

I used the driveshaft combo from this car too, which is now causing me one hell of a headache. the passenger side is all good but on the drivers side its all hitting the fan. Starts off with me needing a new cv joint, not to bad, but when I go down to repco, none of the cv joints they have on file will fit my driveshaft, which is 23 spline inner 26 outer. In the end the guy finds a cv from a ford telstar that will fit. Problem sorted. I get home and start to assemble it and accidentally put the inner cv joint on the wrong way. when I realise and try to take it off I ended up breaking one of the rollers on the bearing. Damnit, lots of swearing!!
Anyway, go down to pick a part, find a type R, pull out the inner cv and its a different spline count.... damnit!!!
I've been to all the mazda wreckers and none of them have a driveshaft to match mine, Damnit!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just been down to a cv specialist today, he says hes seen this once before, apparently my driveshaft is as rare as hens teeth, and finding an inner cv bearing is next to impossible. Tells me he might be able to fix it but hes to busy right now he will try to fix it in the next couple days, if he can, using a broken bearing from somebody else before me.

This is where I am now- I've exhausted all my options with this driveshaft, and if he can't fix it then I'm buggered and out of pocket because I just brought a new cv for this driveshaft grrrrrr

so worse come to worst, can I just throw in the type R driveshaft, will it work? because i dont want to buy it and discover it doesn't fit....

whew, that was alot of typing
cheers for any help guys.... - i love my car but I hate it today

Not sure if I have the story right... you are converting/have converted a CBA chassis car (Lantis) from KF(?) to KLZE (with viscous LSD transmission)?

A Lantis Type R is a CBA chassis...so an axle set from that chassis should be all good?

My 2 cents worth based on my GE sourced LSD box install in a Presso. I had to use a Lantis Type R axle set (both sides..... 28 spline inner to 26 spline outer at the hubs.

I suggest that you go with the Type R axles.
