G'Day,
Read all the horror stories of Gearboxes going *BOOM* under pressure from blown engines. Just wondering, how do Auto's go? Anybody know?[/colorost_uid9]

Haven't heard of anybody doing anything flash with a
Auto car yet. Don't know. I would love to see sombody
with the 150kw miller cycle blown motor with a little extra
boost and they all came auto.

I think I like changing gears too much though for it
to be an option for me.

Well, when I've saved enough cash (LONG time), I'll let you know!! Just wanted to know if Auto's are sh!thouse with some astronomical amount of Kw through it, so I could also plan a manual conversion at the same time.[/colorost_uid0]

since im at the Rotary shop everyday they use Autos.. coz they dont loose boost when its going through gears.. Unlike the manual each time you change the gears you loose the boost that you have and have to wait till it boosts up again.

-Mick
ps. i would go Manual. love the sound when changing gears.. *looks at Mal* ::[/colorost_uid5]

auto EvoVII Lancer is popular. As was S14 200SX with old folks. They aint tuned, but they handle it. Ditto the HSV GTS... 300kw and now in auto. Guess it depends on the strength of the box, and if nobodys tried, i guess nobody knows! Give it a go..... [/colorost_uid0]
