Smile Bj short shift

Hey guys,

Just wondering what is the best way to installing a short shifter for a BJ astina

Press search. Type short shifter into search bar, click search. Find how to and then follow instructions....sorry but its pretty common for people to ask this question without looking!

Sorry to thread crash, but can you buy replacements for the plastic bushes that actually go around the middle of the shifter? I've already got a short shifter and new bushes, but it's still loose in the middle a bit.

do you mean at the pivot point or where it attaches to the linkage? (the green ones from ford fit the latter?)

I mean the big white plastic 'bushes' that the shifter pivots within. Some of the short shift kits on ebay come with them, other do not. I was hoping it was something I could replace cheaply to decrease the slack in the shifter.

not sure mate, Ill race downstairs later and see what my shifter (from the states) includes. dont recall seeing ANY bushings though?

The bits circled in red. That's actually a kit available from the UK over ebay. Under $100 including shipping, not bad.
