Wheel Sizes for BG Astina

Hi all,

I've got some 17 inch rims to put on my 1990 Astina. I know that you are to legally only go 2 inches over standard. My car obviously has 14 Inch rims. Was 15's an option on like the Sp or on any of them? I'll still put the 17's on but if I've got something to back me up if i do get pulled over by saying 15's were an option that would be good.

Cheers

Check the tyre placard in the door jam. That is what the cops will look at.

its a 16mm change in rolling diameter that the cops will bust u for....17's are legal if u put 205/40/17 rubber on them as they are only 4mm larger then stock rolling diameter so ur fine....if the cops argue tell them they should learn the rules:P

my 17s are about an inch greater in diameter then my 14s, this is with 205,40,r17s.so mine are illegal in diameter and you are legally only meant to go 26mm wider on fwd cars so they are to wide aswell

i have 205/40/17 tyres with no scrubbing whatsoever.
what offset do you have on the wheels mate?

and if you have 205 wide tyres and the standard tyres where 185 then you should still be within the 26mm law.

and i think the jap spec eunos 100, the one with the leather interior, came with 15" wheels as standard.
even though it still had plastic wheel trims.
