I got hailed on a few years ago, small little hail slight dents.
AAMI wanted two quotes or I could drop it to them and they fix it. I went to about 10 places, 8 said they could fix it with paintless dent removal, 2 said respray. So I got a reall purty car out of it. FYI Paintless would have cost about 5-700, they paid $3500 for the respray. |

I was lucky that day. We were in Sydney, and it passed just to the North of where we were. Heading home later that day and another storm hit the Central Coast (Wyong, where we live) with hail big enough to put some fair sized dents (no broken windows though) and we missed that by about 15 minutes.
My old Astina got every body panel and the windscreen damaged in the 2005 hail storm on the Central Coast. NRMA paid for the lot, and I got a full respray out of it too. I didn't have any troubles with them, they even answered the phone within a minute or two. It took them 4 weeks to do the job, but I was in the UK and Italy at the time so it didn't bother me. Sweet as.
