hi champ,
nice project your trying to do, lol i had 3xhardtop and each one i always wanted to upgrade the engine and parts etc.. when i was reseaching i found alot in america have ford probes KL-ZE 2.5litre engines and with heavy mods on alot and got alot of ideas from there and custom part numbers do a search on yahoo for forums etc.. you get a fair few ideas there even www.cardomain.com seach under ford probe 1992-1997 i think and will find - some who i contacted there and got parts number good thing alot of parts are in america plus ebay is a good place to find random things like chipped ecu's for that engine, the millenia 2.3litre conrods by memory are thicker than the klze 2.5 litre, same length, but i cant remember if the original pistons on the 2.5litre fit or needed custom . even a nice KL-ZE oil cap made from excellent material = ebay item number 260585246449 depending on your budget i can probably help you on things and direct you - but what is your budget ? and do u think turbo or n/a ? cause if i know roughly the budget i can guess what the max things you can do to your car . |

That sounds like a good way to go with things Dennis.
It gives you more time to research your mod's and plan how they are going to work together. By taking some time and not rushing to buy things, you might get some good deals along the way

No pics of the brakes or coilovers?
Nice strut tops on your coilovers there also! Lol! WHY IS THE REAR STOCK HEIGHT? SURELY YOU DIDN'T PAY $1400 TO LOWER THE FRONT ONLY? Last edited by project.r.racing; 12-09-2010 at 10:40 AM. |

That's what stock rear hight looks like... Why I'd your car nose diving?? It won't perform on the track if it nosedives.. If you are fitting oversized wheels (wheel being rim+tyre) to fit the guards a it's illegal and b it's gonna throw your handling way off

seeing how they are springs, wont they need to get all new springs in?
question your front strut tops are rather tall, are the back ones this tall as well?? because this might be the reason why its lower at the front than at the back.. |

Yeah, no way that back is right. When you said it was higher, i didn't think you meant that much higher!

Looking at the engine you should look for a Millenia inlet manifold to free up some of the KL-ZE potential.

Hmmmmmm,
dunno if anyone can remember when i got pedders set up and stated it was S**T ! The back springs i had alot of trouble with pedders them making up stuff etc... but were high instead of low What they ended up doing for me was giving me (i think they were off a nissan pulsar cant remember was year) rear spring and the back went lower. The only problem was if you go over a hole or over a speed hump a bit to fast the springs would pop outta the groove and made a ugly metal sound - thats when you know its pop'd out, basically had to put over, use a jack - put them in the right groove - lower the jack and was okay - happened about 10 times with me in 2yrs . I wish you posted earlier i could have gave you a shop's number that can make them to whatever height/low you want and KYB Shocks - honestly better than pedders, as i hated there springs as it was bouncy for some reason, when its not meant to be. Hope they think of something and help you out - cause they really didnt help me only bulls**t me . Like i said the springs they provided me with the back i think were off a nissan pulsar here a picture of my old car with those springs - ignore the front, i know its high was testing something, but have a look at the back and on 17'' 205x40x17 tyres |
