WTF!!! It's back! WTF-323 update [lots of pics]
Just to recap, anyone who's been paying attention will know that back in January i had an acco and after a long delay, i got the car back in early may. 2 days after i got the car back it was off the road again due to foreign object damage in cylinder no.2 which in the end, required the motor to be rebuilt. Seems there's been a few rebuilds going on lately, and anyway, here's my piece of the pie.
40thou overbored block Wiseco pistons, shot peened and balanced GTR rods Balanced crank All assembled with ACL Race bearings on the mains and big ends. Ported, polished and reco'd BP N/A head Polished Fidanza adjustable cam gears I'm trying the talked about exintake cam mod the yanks do. 3rd go at lowering my overboosting. Redrilled a new hole in the wastate flap arm to provide a longer pivot throw. Even more metal taken out of the port. Also you can see that now the flap itself moves further open. Timed with Gates Racing belt and assembled New cam cover paint job. and waiting to go in. There's the engine for you. Now comes the body. BEFORE NOW Well there you have it guys. No power figure as yet, as I'm still running in the engine. Also have to source new 550cc injectors so that I can make some more power. So ar so good though, she cranked over first go and has done a trouble free 330kms of town driving. So with that in mind...we should be in for a good show!! Hope you guys like as much as I do. All comments welcome. Ta ROB.

I really like what I see, and I can't wait to see it in the flesh! That is if you're coming up for Jambo (and if I'm well enough to go).
What blue is that? Cheers, Gav. |

The turbo head has a bulge in the intakes, in theory the NA head flows better.

I'm very curious, as it opens up a whole new ball game when turboing BP engines. As in turboing a N/A engine, rather than buying and swapping out a whole engine. Ryan |

Great looking car, and some nice shots there too. How many of us Newie boys (and girls) are there on here? Doin us proud with that job.
What were the costs like for the engine / body work?

i dont think he could go much thicker without pressure cracks appearing after a bit of stress.....the sides of those sleeves look mighty close anyhow....
