Where is "camshaft position sensor" on 323F V6 97 model

if someone can look up for me in this book on page "F3-51" there u should be able to find pics where the camshaft position sensor is.

Is it inside the ingiter?

the cam/crank sensor is within the dizzy . it is the sensor with metal disc and pick up . i dont have a workshop manual with me at the moment to check the page but it is in there same as all 'k' series motors

yes...its inside the distributor and part of the igniter. There is a permanent magnet and the magnetic filed is broken by a metal disk with cutout slots that rotates with the shaft. The voltage induced by the change in magnetic filed is detected by the ECU to determine the position of cam shaft.
