the one thing i like about IE is that it saves all the email logins for hotmail... when i have 3 and a few other people wanna use the PC ocassionally it just speeds things up alot... if only i could get that to happen in FF -im sure someones done it! im capped to and tbh FF is awesome now. installed adblocker and after fiddling with the code as above its fast, even when maxing out the connection with a download!

I switched from FF to Chrome on friday afternoon, and am glad I am I found that FF was a little hard to navigate with, but anyways on Google Chrome, I find the list view (which I have as the homepage) to be a great idea, as most favourites I have are all there at a click of a button, and also with the google search in the toolbar is great aswell

One thing I am yet to work out is that pdf files wont open up in the browser, I have to switch back to IE for it...

Change your settings in Chrome so that Acrobat Reader opens them. At least then you get full functionality with the PDF files.

I use google chrome everyday and have found that using foxit reader is a better option than adobe reader.
Foxit reader is a lot smaller, faster and doesn't require daily updates like adobe products.
its odd - acrobat installs its self as a start up application so it is always running yet foxit opens the same document way faster.

One annoying thing about chrome is that it wont save the proxy credentials. This is annoying at work because it makes you enter it manually every single bl##dy time you open the browser!

Both IE and FF do it. Chrome even hijacks IE's network configuration but still it won't use the credentials

I'm finding that flash videos are often freezing in chrome too - on Windows and Mac

Yep also, when you try dragging a selected sentence, it won't You have to select, cut/copy then paste the pointer is reall dodgy too. You can't select the words properly either. Instead of breezing arrow over words/sentences & it automatically selects them, it only selects the letter you are over so, you have to get cursor exactly in front of begining of sentence & it won't let you select, drag & drop words/sentences to another location on page. Really, really annoooyyyying

In summary, system performance is generally slower

I'm pissing it off for a while & using FF again. I reckon it needs patches or something @ this stage

No - only the Mac/Linux versions are (unless you run the beta of the next version of the windows version)

My version here (Windows) is 4.0.249.89 (38071)
So the full release was out 4 major versions ago

I keep flip flopping between FF and GC. I can't really decide which I like better. GC is definitely quicker though...

FYI: Firefox 3.6 has issues with hotmail reply/forward not carrying over text from subject emails. Until a update is released, the only way around this is to flush your cache before every reply or forward, or to go back to Firefox 3.5.8 [which I did...].

The way 3.6 (Mac) handles multiple tabbing now ****s me to ****ing tears. Now that it opens new tabs next to the master tab instead of after the last one makes searching Yahoo Japan that little bit harder.

And the way it no longer alphabetises the predictive typing is ****ing stupid too.

Do not like.
