Used the fog lights on my car 'legally' for the first time since I've owned the car tonight. Unfortunately I put that tint on them so they didn't make any difference, but I was happy knowing I was allowed to use them.

Try'd to fit a rear strut brace but needs to be cut, so angle-grinding here and there on the ends of the strut arm, we'll see tomorrow if it works when i try to finish it

Went to fill up my car this morning on the way to work and half way through filling the car a lady tried to fill her car up and the pumps started vibrating and blew the fuse, they reset it and I put some more petrol in before it blew the fuse again.
So I was told to fill the car at another pump, when I went to pay I said I had filled the car at the other pump and finished at another pump.
I was told only had records for the final amount I filled up so I made the young guy check with his supervisor and was told to pay the amount recorded as the other figures were lost when the pumps shut down.
In the end it took 45 min and cost me $12 to fill the car from empty.
And they gave me a free Courier Mail newspaper as well

washed, clay-bared and waxed the 3000. Astina looks very unloved atm. Maybe I should look at putting the spare engine back together and prepping it...

Or the new bumpers..

And the new clutch..

Lets not even look at the little bits and pieces lying around for it.

Drove all over Tamborine and Beechmont today with the MPS kids. Have decided that new coilovers are in order with stiffer springs.

MoonUnit came round and we took the front bar off the Astina and drilled a 4 inch hole for a cold air intake in my chassis. I will get some conduit for around the hole, some of the flexible ducting and a 90 degree silicon bend next week and set up the cold air intake properly.

Also bought some high tensile bolts and fitted my new race spec tow hook. The actual tow hook is on the other side of the car coming off the same rail we drilled into, so it should be totally functional.

installed my rear strut brace, what a little nightmare to finally get it all in by cutting some of the 2 feet on the strut and a fair bit of my plastic interior - cant really feel the difference yet.

I was originally going to do a big radiator install but I have decided to break it into two stages. Firstly, I will install the new radiator with aftermarket fans, new hoses and thermostat. Then I will tap into the power and ground wires of the radiator fans in order to install a fan controller (but more on that when it happens).

So, here is Stage One. Mishimoto two-pass aluminium radiator, Mishimoto fans which I have attached stock fan plugs to. I am still waiting for the coolant hoses, so it will be a couple of weeks before I can install this

Here are the some photos. Firstly, the whole setup:

In this pic you can see the stock connectors and also an auxiliary coolant temp sensor (again, more on the purpose of this later ):

I hope to update you all soon with the install!

PS - any suggestions on hose clamps? I wouldn't mind something better than the stockos or plain worm clamps

Mate is picking up all my LED bulb replacements from his work ready for the weekend. Also planning to do the brake/clutch flush and steering rack end boots as well. Fun weekend ahead.
