Probably not heaps far south (But what is far south? Down to interpretation?). Not sure how close I need to be yet. As long as public transport is around I'm ok.

But I like the look of Kangaroo Point, it's just south of the city and seems pretty close to everything?

Kangaroo point has some good spots I Knew a fair few ppl at work that lived there for a good price and its really nice for walking and jogging. Some times its even good to find a share house untill u find your feet but you would probs have a bit of stuff and will have someone with you yeah? I have lived on the north side yes it is very detached from the city and can be a bitch sometimes its nice tho, i liked living there (in pine rivers) its close to the sunshine coast. even if u find a nice estate it will be good coz its a mini community without the bogans usually.

are you intending to catch public transport a lot? kangaroo point isn't a bad place to live, and plenty of public transport. are you going to be working in the city?

From the top!

Um probably 2 bedrooms.

Don't know, I might be on my own. People keep on wanting to move as well but they never get their **** together, so I decided if I rely on others it'll never happen. But I assume once I get set up people will suddenly flock and want to be there

Depends where I work. I'd drive if it isn't too far + free parking available. I'll either be working Southside or in the city, I daresay.

if ur working in the city there would not be free parking at all i dont think. but if you live on southside you can park at garden city and catch a bus from there. busway only takes around 10 - 15 minutes from garden city to city except in peak hour when it can take up to half hour due to ppl gettin in/out.. i do that every day when i go uni and from my house to uni it takes me 30 min, thats with a 10 min walk and car parking.
either way welcome to QLD when u eventally get here anyway

cbd district parking (including kangaroo pt southbank west end etc) is restricted to P2 unless otherwise signed. im sure that you can get the resident permits but i have no idea how. apart from that parking on the street isnt that bad in most areas, just make sure ur insured anyway for theft just in case

Yeah, I've found some cheaper apartments though. Seems to be a lottery with secure parking in that case. Guess I'd have to ask about on street.

yeah...also be warned alot of places a while ago was basically an auction for renting...people would offer more than what it was going for to get the place...

Depends where in Kangaroo Point. The street I live in has unrestricted parking every day. No resident permits required.
