what there saying is that in the long run it will cost the tax payer $1900 in the future for this $950??? the opposition is insisting in permanent tax cuts which will save the normal person $1700 a year??? its really hard.
the reason for the $1900 is for paying back what we'll (government) need to borrow for the $950.

when that take out 1700 a year of tax...it works out to be about $33 a week...a normal person wouldnt really notice that extra $30 a week...thats the difference between the 2...

$33 is nothing really, seeing as people that have home loans are now saving at least $170/month on repayments due to the interest rate cut on tuesday morning, so basically nothing...

My understanding is you can use it for whatever you want to. Its just that most people use it to pay for fees and/or as part of the deposit.

yep what ever you want...or if youve saved the $14,000 or $21,000 you can use the grant for the deposit and your savings for furnature...
