it may take some modification to make it fit, but trust me, in the end, when the bug bites harder, you'll regret it if you go with the 5x7's |

not at all
all you have to do is make an outline of the speakers and where they screw into the door, the trace it around a piece of mdf and cut away. make sure you have the screws align.... its as simple as you could get |

Hi friends,
Looking at putting a sub in, don't wanna go to large, don't want to lose the boot either, i know new hi-end car systems are installing small subs underneath the passenger seat. What do you guys reckon that would set me back? Custom box would have to be pretty shallow, but would a BA seat be just way too small to even try? Any opinion on the matter welcome. |

these under seat subs are quite shallow themselves, best advice - go and have a look what available 1st. then you'll know what you need to compare with

the subs under the seats are only 6.5" or 7" subs and dont create much bass at all, it does very little in my g/fs sp23 with the bose system
a 10" sub in a sealed box in the boot is the best option, 10's have a nice sound and dont take up to much space

Where have you guys mouted your tweaters in your cars (those who have splits)??
I havent decided where to place them, i would love them to be covered up and out of sight but sound quality is a very very big factor of placement |

It all depends on your speaker and what sound you like. The best method is to use blue tack to hold them in position and move them around seeing what sounds best to you. Make sure you remember that most split crossovers have attenuation switch or wire positions to change the tweeter volume, play with that at the same time and you should end up with the best position for you.
