FS [SA]: Muffler for BJ/BJII Protege

Up for sale is the muffler from my 2002 Protege. Installed with the 2.25 exhaust mid-November last year. Inner tip is 2.5 inch I think, total diameter of tip is 3.5 inch.

Bearing in mind it was on the car for little over a month, I'm asking around the $180 mark. Happy to negotiate within reason, but after the accident I'm looking at another $480 excess from Allianz on top of the $1100 from my insurance, so be nice.

Had the cat-back as well, the mid-pipe is just being stubborn atm. Friend told me the exhaust shop didn't put some thing on it to make the bolts easier to get off. If I can manage to wrangle it off the car I'll be selling that too.

Righto well let me how that goes, but I prob would only be interested in the muffler, but that all depends on shipping as well.

No worries. I'll have a look for those files tonight and see if I can put them somewhere.

Hey man,

Can you please measure the inlet to see if it is 2.5 inch?

Pardon my ignorance, the inlet would be the part where the muffler pipe connects to the mid-pipe, yes?

Seems to be closer to 2 inch, at least the inner diameter. Starting to wonder if the 2.25 part is the outside diameter of the pipe.
