Drakh's Klze BA updated 29/1/14
Hey guys, been working on this for the last month now, the latest in a long line of BA's for me, and hopefully the best one yet.
Heres some pics of it today- not clean and shiney yet It annoys me the 'F' is missing (and the car didn't come with a fujitsubo exhaust either- the one you see I put on) And thats all the angles I can get for now- I lost clutch pressure over night- so the car isn't moving today. Small problem in the scheme of things tho. More good pictures when I sort the bleeding clutch. Current mod list: -Klze 2.5 engine -Klze header pipes -Fujitsubo (legalis?) exhaust -decat -Klze standard clutch -Sard fuel pressure regulator -D2 coilovers -Cusco engine strut brace (got a shiney mazdaspeed but it wont fit with the kl in there ) -whiteline rear end links -mazdaspeed front and rear sway bars (technically not a mod cause they were always there) -nolathane bushes front and rear swaybar -mazdaspeed sideskirts -steering wheel -swapped boot hatch due to rust -swapped front right quarter( previous owner dinged) -and stuff I just can't remember (realistic)To do list: Performance -Whiteline adjustable front sway link -megasquirt ecu, purchased off bourbon (is he still about?) like 3 years ago- sat about, can't afford the install. Gonna have to learn how to do it myself... -nolathane all remaining bushes Looks + maintenance -minor rust on roof -ariel hole on roof... -dented rear left wheel arch -Tinted windows -Black out rear lights + garnish- have spare set im working on -roof lining starting to come away -too many tiny dings and tiny creases that i'm going to ignore for the sake of a budget and sanity I reckon I might be half way there... maybe Last edited by Drakh; 29-01-2014 at 05:08 PM. |

So angry
As I've said, I had no clutch pressure, and I've replaced the clutch piston like 3 times, and the slave cylinder (such a pig to get at thanks to the klze), which has given me some clutch pressure- but then I lost brake pressure (when I swapped the slave cylinder- fluid got too low) Ok- easy fix aye. So I start bleeding the brakes, first corner was ok, then on the next corner, all this grey, half congealed gunk shows up in the lines. I try to bleed it out but then we lose all pressure in the brakes- and nothing will pump through on any of the brakes. I do a google search for similar problems- and the suggestion is to replace the master cylinder. I do that, and the brake problem is fixed.Bleed all four corners, nice brake pressure. Sweet, now bleed the clutch one more time and I'll be done, woohoo. Start bleeding the clutch, and all that grey crap stuff has made its way into this line as well, and after a few pumps, its like it got clogged, and wouldn't pump through. But then it broke free, and all the **** seemed to be comming out, and I was just starting to get some nice clean oil again when we lost all pressure on the pedal and line, just went soft. You pumped and nothing was happening. The slave cylinder has crapped out again. Flippingmonkeycheesenutscork So thats where I stand tonight, back at square 1, no clutch pressure Somedays i just hate cars Last edited by Drakh; 01-12-2013 at 06:32 PM. |

you need to replace the clutch master cylinder also!!!
if the slave cylinder is stuffed, the master cylinder usually is too!

2 brake master cylinders, 2 clutch master cylinders, and 3 clutch slave cylinders. Thats the death toll so far, I don't know why it was so difficult to fix- probably a combination of crap parts and maybe a couple of noob mistakes by me, but I've made it through to the otherside and the car is running sweet now.
I gave it a wash this arvo- so heres some better pictures like I said I would post Heres the klze, not as clean as the rest of the car, but does the job heres the list I made this morning Well I'm gonna wrap this up, I was out in the sun all day working on the car and I have a wicked headache now. enjoy the pics Last edited by Drakh; 15-12-2013 at 04:48 PM. |

Drakh's BA klze update 29/1/14
Time for an update
I missed a birthday But I made up for it, and brought (her/him/it?) some new shoes This picture without grass- cause grass is cheating I managed to get these mags for $650, enkei rivazza's with tires and wheel nuts. Wicked bargain. they had been sitting around for awhile it turned out. And now theres room to go a little lower I think. these wheels have raised it by +10mm I also brought a couple bits off rupe mazdaspeed horn -not the wheel carbon eyelids Car is coming along nicely. But its getting to the point where I have to pay professionals to do the final bits, which is rust, suspension setup, certification, and megasquirt ecu Not looking forward to handing over my cash haha Won't be cheap, but thats the price of modding right? You just cant stop. Everytime you achieve a goal, another one appears. Its like a diesease you love *edit- what u guys reckon about matt black wheels? , and can you update the thread name. I can't figure it out Last edited by Drakh; 29-01-2014 at 05:22 PM. |

Most of the pics are on grass, so I was cheating a little bit.... But yeah, coilovers are a must if you want to get anywhere close to low I'll get a pic of the eyelids from the front for ya. |
