They may need a little manipulation to bolt up but they should fit.

manipulation to bolt up? I've read that all k series fit straight on? and that I'll need to adjust the u bend off the rear bank?

Not for EGR , both headers have to be same length for scavenging to operate correctly and back pressure to be correct on both banks.

He means the piece above it i believe Which would be EGR IMO.

Didn't see that bit the first time around , yes that upper piece is for the EGR as the EGR valve is mounted on a bracket between the block and the intake manifold.

ok so cleared that up, but what does egr valve do?

Basicly exhaust gas is inert, no oxygen to support combustion and no fuel to add to combustion. If an engine starts to get too hot the engine produces extra polution so the EGR allows exhaust gas in to the engine to reduce combustion and polution.
It's also required for your engine to be roadworty.
