It shouldn't take any more then 2.5-3 hours from Logan area...I think I'll just get a good nights rest before hand and start on at 5am or whenever, love driving in the cool mornings...

Spot on John, 190km from Logan, 220km from Ippy, so I'm assuming 2.5 hrs from logan and 3.0 hrs from Ippy.
The day starts at 9am sharp. If peeps are late, they miss out. All paperwork must be signed off together. And there is no stopping and starting for later comers. So everyone must make sure they are there on time. |

^^^ the reason why I said I was driving up by myself and not meeting up with people... cant honestly see the point driving 45kms/40mins to springwood/logan and then drive another 190 to the destination point..

Some google map links:-
From Springwood... From Ipswich... I think/assume Steve/RX8 will just park on the side of the highway just past Anzac Av, and wait for everyone to pass by. So others need to look at the linked maps, and find where the best place to wait for everyone else. I myself will be waiting somewhere around the Nambour/Maroochydore on the highway. (Or maybe meet you there.) So no one has to go backwards to a meet point. Just wait beside the highway and next follow everyone past when they do. So, Maccas Springwood, people who can meet there, please do, and then depart at 6am. Give everyone a toot/horn to let them know you are passing by. Ryan p.s. I'll add this info to the 1st post so it is easy to find later on. |

Ryan - yeah i'll be sitting on side of highway, proberly just north of the Anzac Ave entrance onto the highway. Easy to see everyone coming. People from southside - coming over gateway bridge upto the bruce highway i presume ? |

Leaving my place (Ebbw Vale) between 4.45am & 5.15am, will be going via the ICB and then onto the gateway from Northgate (Its faster then going logan>gateway)

why is everyone leaving so early? i thought that a meetup at around 6.30 was enough time for getting up there...
how many ppl will be going up there by themselves and how many at the meetup? |

Its a 3hr drive, and it starts right on 9am, so its better to be early then we can proceed with signing of waivers etc and get out on the track faster...

I think the Springwood ppl should bypass Lutwhyche>Gympie and go straight through the Gateway toll road due to the excessive amount of extra time it takes going through the suburbs. Probably not practical to meet on the side of the road, so we might just have to settle for seeing you there?

I wouldn't worry about traffic, as you'll all be starting to drive at 6am. there is nothing on the roads that early on a Sunday morning.
I'm all for people getting there on time. But I do not want people tired or taking risks to get there on time. Relax and take it easy. |
