Hello to all UK memebers.
Been meaning to ask, I recently went to England ireland and wales and was it just me and the areas I went but is the car scene much bigger in australia than in the UK? I did stay in the cities not suburbs but still didn't see many done up cars, and NOT ONE personalised number plate. was alittle surprising. |

Yeah, you're right. Though it does seem to be getting bigger -Club 323F registered forum users occasionally exceeds the Astina GT ones, which is pretty good when you consider that 4 years ago there were only about 5 members.
Yesterday in a 20 mile journey I saw 4 proper-done-up cars. Moddified cars are definately deep in the minority, that's why I get funny looks when I mention to people I run a car club - it's regarded as 'boy-racerish' by the average Joe Bloggs I should take it as a compliment really, being over 30 That's also one reason why I've kept mine subtle. i dunno what you guys pay for your number plates down under, but in the UK they`re pretty expensive.
lots of non-modded cars you say? probably down to laziness!! the youth of today would much rather buy an "off the shelf" french hot-hatch than build their own individual modded machines. some of these are modified, but there`s that many of them they all look the same after a while. |

you would probably find that a lot of max power cars hardly ever see a real road.
most of them will be show cars, built by companies to advertise I.C.E. and bodykits etc.... i prefered the good old days, when you and a few mates would park a banger in your front garden and practically re-build it!!! |
