I did a few like this the other week.
I find it's better to watch them do a run through, then sit and quietly have a read of the plans and run through in your head. I would sit there and be going "left, right, left, left, right, left, etc"

That looks like a standard Group 5 meeting with a few more reversing tests.

I'd be keen to give them a go, just not the reversing ones!

I hate reversing in tests, too slow. Takes to much time away from speeding and droping big handbrakies.

I remember at Deca one of the other guys commented and yelled out "can we draw arrows on the track?"
I like reverse throws, great fun! (havent done any with full reverse sections though)

Willowbank Raceway, down the back at the skidpan.
I'll be in Gympie at another motorkhana on a wet cement skidpan. I put a thread up about it in the QLD section. The tests above are a round of the Queensland Motorkhana Championship. So normally they are more difficult than regular tests. Something I may contest next year. This year had 3 rounds in Ipswich, 1 in Rocky, 1 in Maryborough and 1 on the Goldy. Ryan |

I don't like reverse - because I've seen how small the reverse gears are in a G-series box.
I know I smash mine into reverse but I still don't like it. Worse part is My Mx-6 turbos H box uses a G-series reverse set in effect. I don't think I'll subject it too that AGAIN . Mind you it's solid mounts helped out. I know form one guy who does alot of that stuff has a old civic with 98 model Vtec in it. Shock absorbers on your engine - REALLY HELPS. stopped him breaking engine mounts apparently. Just don't attach them to your frotn radiator support. Unless you have me to make you a new one out of solid alloy bar. And then don't run it into the back of a toyota Hilux. Love it but Good luck with it and just try ot take your time. The more you rush the more mistakes you make. I did one with the Mx-6's 4WS - NOT ONE CONE SURVIVED the reverse Slalom. Soon as it boosted up you lost everything I mean everything. might help in parking but not anytihng above 10km/h. If it's competition too - raise you tyres up too apparenlty this helps out alot. I'm not a big motorkana fan as none of my cars are made for it. But it is alot of run. Good luck Hope you have heaps - plus WE want PICS |

Two G25MR boxes i've bought secondhand have had broken/bent reverse levers, so it's not an uncommon thing
