Mazda Brisbane Cruise 06

Hi EVERYONE!!

Im AstinaBoiV6 and i have a idea for the Brisbane based members of AGT..
Im thinking of geting as many of us as possible together and going for a cruise then have lunch, some sport or swim depending on the heat .

The cruise would take place around easter holls as to have people off work..

Was thinking a brisbane to goldcoast or surfers paradise or even mnt tamborine or some other kewl spot. That way we can also involve the Goldcoast based members into the action.

So what do you think??

Is there any older AGT member based in brisbane that i could get in contact with to help organize.

best idea will be to wait for the guys to come back from the cruises in sydney this weekend, and prob nate or twiggy is best to talk to...but we got the drag day at the end of feb and possibly a cruise after that...but who knows....

there's always cruises happening. start of feb there's one, end of feb it's us vs crudolla drag wars, march there is mini jamboree (all you peeps better come and cheer me on)... best to wait til march to talk about another cruise, well atleast a big cruise

is it worth me coming to the drag and racing? i mean i beat any stockish rolla there thats auto but my v6 auto is prob no match for a manual off the mark

yer im most likley comin and il race for the heck of it but do u rekon i have a chance? Im getin a k&n panel filter before that so im hoping that will add a bit more response time on the throddle.

Not to disappoint you but I wouldn't expect to go better than low to mid 17s with the auto
Its not about "being in with a chance" its about doing the right things as a driver
Remember ET is not the be all and end all
Just have to watch Andy at Mini Jamboree to see that
Getting the best Reaction time you can get is a good start
Running as close to your expectations ('dial in' during competition)
I would just spend time working on my launches and getting the power down cleanly and smoothly without trying to wring the neck of your car.
After all once you get off the line in the auto you will be leaving most of it up to the car anyway. Even as a manual driver you only really spend time 'fighting' between man and machine until the end of 2nd gear then its all car.

Just have fun with the track and you will come away a winner

hehe well im hoping to have a few more mods done by then... I got the k&n panel with custom air intake pipes, getin irridium sparkis and new leads, got new battery( if that helps) and getin some racing mesh ( hehe that wont help but hey looks meaner)

Anyhow, one cruise I did had 60 cars.....the cops told us to split up as we took up the whole highway

We were in a long line that stretched for some distance. They asked if we could split it at least in half. This was on Bruce Highway going to Sunshine coast. Was a big cruise.
