For the last couple of cruises I've been using

Canon EOS 300D, 18-55 + Hoya UV(0) with some occasional lens swaps for fun.. ie the Spirit of tasmania in the last bunch was taken with a 90-300 stuck onto a Tamron 4 element 2x convertor, taking into account FOV crop etc it's about 960mm of lens there.

Before I got the 300D I was using a Canon PowerShot G2...

yeah they are a nice camera

it was good seeing someone else with the same camera hehe.

that 300 lens with the 2x converter was crazy lol.

hoya - ****ty lenses....

ok i have to say that - i work for sola australia - but we only make opthalmic lenses... hoya, nikon and pentax are all my opposition... not fair

naaa they make alright stuff - in fact great stuff!!!


oh yeah the cruise was good too!!!

i'll have my pictures on the way as soon as i can find 60 odd meg of space somewhere - i'm running out of room!!!!
