farking hell talk about pointless rants...

someone should change the thread name to 'off topic opinions' and remove the name of the user who started the original thread..as hes not getting the feedback he was looking for..(bar from one or two)

best idea bud is to have a search through old threads where people have gone down the n/a road and allready looked into the power gaining mods, easy answers.gl with it

you will not gain HP doing this but you will be quicker ,you could loose some weight eg backseats or lite weight rims ,Lightweight flywheel and better tyres .which means when you go to turbo it if you do ,it will be very quick and handle good

Im not sure what the QLD rules are, but if you cant have turbo, why can you have internal modifications to your engine?

the only rules in qld is you cant have turbo (unless its diesel) and cant have more then 200kw(or is it hp, cant remember) cant have 8 cylinders or bigger then a 12a rotary. i am pretty sure forged internals etc etc are all ok as long as it stays under that 200 mark

No matter what you do if you pay someone to do the mods it's going to cost.

Lets look at doing some head work
R&R the head $1000, porting $300-$1000, larger valves $500, extras like guides etc. $2000 from how much gain.

How about cam
R&R cam $500ish Reground cam $120, The cam has to be small stage 1-2 so it doesn't throw out the ECU too much and so it doesn't need stiffer springs or more valve stem clearance. Bigger cams can run more comp but the cost to pull the head is still $1000

If you are mechanical minded and capable you can save $1000's

It's always cheaper buying a car with more power.
