Drive shafts
Hey guys,
Just got a small question that I've been meaning to put up here for quite a few weeks. Now I need an answer that is 110% correct. If you are even the slightest bit unsure then say so lol. What I need to know is will drive shafts from a manual 01 sp20 (2L 5stud etc) fit into the gear box of a manual 03 astina 323 (1.8L 4 stud) gearbox. I need a definate answer from someone who is 110% sure. All help is greatly appreciated and I thank you all in advance. Cheers Kyle. |

I converted from 1.8 to a 2L and went from 4 to 5 stud.
Didn't know at the time that the 2L used abs sensors for the Speedo. So going to put the 1.8 box back on to get the Speedo to work again and needed to know if can just use the 2L shafts or if ill have to swap it back to the 1.8 shafts with 5 stud hubs on the end. |

1.8 shafts will fit into the sp20 hubs just not the gearbox.

I had my gearbox stripped and a speedo drive ring installed so I could get the speedo working.
I am using SP20 drive shafts and a SP20 gearbox on a 1.8L 4 stud hubs. I had to swap drive shafts when we changed gear boxes as the 1.8 ones were different. |
