Yeah, a mate of mine got done from a Grey TX3 laser, the guy challenged my mate, then when they raced he flicked his sirens on, then you know the rest of the story.

Seriously, I think the entrapment claim is low, if someone did something wrong, they should cope the fine or the time. the police might have tested your self control and patience a bit, but they did not force you to break the law, that decision ultimatly rested on your shoulders. They are tring to make a safe environment for all drivers, if you can't control your patience, don't drive, cause theres bound to be some slow driver who will test that and you might do a risky overtake thats illegal. If you can't say no to a street race thats illegal and dangerous, don't drive. My sister and ex brother in law are police officers, I have a long line of officers in my family, so I've prob seen a different side to most...
There are times when the police get it wrong, considereing what they deal with every day, I think thats alright and needs to be accepted, and in these cases you can use the law to challenge this, but misusing laws when you are full well in the wrong, thats whats got this world so messed up and sue crazy today...

/end my rant

try12 might not have been a personalised plate as such...

highway patrol down here often wear various commemaritive plates and special plates - such as the new rugby plates (try-XXX) (aus-XXX) the centenary of federation - new england plates (why on the central coast???) there is a few others as well

on a sidenote we are using all sorts down here too from totally unmarked patrols (now that DOES catch you off guard) to magna sports, avalons, camry sportivos...
