Drag Warz results (Nov 2006)

Well I didnt win (for a change), but came runner up. big deal really since there was a massive entrant list of 3 people (phwoar!!!!)

anyway, first run at the strip = pb. 14.576, some 0.17 seconds off my previous best, and with a pb mph in a later run - just over 93mph. i dont know the differences between willowbank and wsid, but my mph at wsid is always 2-3mph off my willowbank mph, so a possible 95, even 96mph speed at willowbank. all i can guess is that wsid averages your speed over the last 20ft, willowbank averages your speed over the last 20ft plus 20ft past the finish line (to get your mph at the finish line, not before it).

still cant crack 2 second for the 60ft. many very low 2 second times with a best of 2.005.

i'm putting down my new pb to better suspension helping with the changes of gears, the twm shift know again helping with the change of gears, and also an aerodynamic advantage from having the car lower.

yes.

yeah i did 2 14.5 runs and the rest were 14.6 runs with the exception of the final.

just gotta beat that guy in the final round on march 10 in sydney (again) and i'll take the all motor championship, assuming he's an andra licence holder (not sure but i think he is)

You know why you get a lower MPH ?

it's because of the elevation of WISD

I know guy who races many big car setups he uses Heathcote and calder and former AIR site in the past all of the track WSID and former EAstern creek he was always slower, in MPH usually almost same time but slower in the MPH.

WSID is located at a higher sea level and you get alot more variation in temperature.

especially tihs time of year. I was at street meet back last year started at say I think 5 back then. well alays best runs were after 9:30 burnout comp and we always had to add a few PSI to the rears. usually drop from 18 to 16psi.

It's quite noticable any day during same time driving up on the M4.
between homebush and parramatta car feels normal but by blacktown you can notice a slight drop off in urge and by penrith - I really notice it in the N/A cars.

the only thing i can put down the lower mph is to the possible way they calculate the mph. i cant see wsid being any higher than willowbank
