ABS apparently, however the guy i took it to had problems welding it and said that it wouldn't stick. He could of just been useless, i'm looking to actually take it to someone that specialises in plastic welding. Just have to find one that wont cost an arm and a leg.

I've been informed I can use my butane soldering iron with the blow torch tip and it'll do the job

Alrighty, so, i've purchased some adjustable endlinks from pedders. $55 a piece. Would i need to do the front ones at all? Or just rear would be fine? Whats the benefit for front links? Just better performance?
Obviously bought it for the sway bar so it wont bang, and its better quality than stock + im lowering in a month or so, whenever my springs arrive. Also, my bushes on the sway bar are squeaking like no tomorrow. So, new ones of those will be put on soon too. They've perished. Oh well, lasted for about 4 months with the sway bar Last edited by Ben; 30-10-2012 at 03:26 PM. |

Do you have the stock shocks? Or new after market ones?? Only reason I ask is the swaybar end link mounting point on the strut will most likely tear off.... Just ask Andy You don't need to so the front... But if they are old I would just replace them anyway. You will have slightly better front end response with bigger end links.

Any after market struts are thicker and stronger than the stock ones anyway. Will be all good!

So i bought some throttle body cleaner this morning because my idle is a bit off lately. I also enquired about a CAI but none in stock, so he's going to find out and ring me on Monday so that will be happening soon. Whether i build my own or buy a kit, it will happen. My stock pipe has cracks in it. I've sticky taped it up until i buy a replacement. I cant feel any air coming out of it. So that's always helpful.
Anyways, i cleaned my MAF and throttle body. This came out the exhaust... This was shiney as i waxed my car up the other day. Judging by this, i don't think its ever been done. The response now is phenomenal. Car goes like a bat out of hell now. Better then it has ever been since i've owned it. New love! |

yer when you do the other one there is a vaccum hose just after the throttle body on the manifold, just take that off spray about haft a can in there with out the motor running, leave it for 5 mins start the motor ( and addmire the mount of crap that comes out the exhaust and then whilst keeping the engine at a fair rev about 3000rpm spray the rest of the can in giving it couple of big revs so it opens the vics and get some in there aswell and that will make it a lot cleaner and smoother idle
